Robotics for Automation

At the Build’In Co-Innovation platform at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, our team engages in a diverse range of academic and industrial research projects, particularly those focused on large-scale 3D printing in concrete and clay. We collaborate with PhD students to advance these projects, covering everything from form development to material mix formulations to the final printing of structural elements.

The ABB 6-axis robotic arm and XtreeE’s end-effector facilitate these tasks. The goal is to provide viable solutions for companies like Vinci Constructions, which partners with the platform to fund various doctoral theses, enabling the creation of bespoke structural elements and innovative structures through this cutting-edge technology.
